Adding a session to your schedule in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in the room. Most sessions are first come, first served, there is no waitlist. On Sched you can add multiple sessions to your schedule that are at the same time. A session that is "POPULAR!" is on many attendee schedules and could be full. If a session requires pre-registration it will indicate this in the description and will provide details for how to pre-register.

Limited Capacity seats available

What was the last important story you heard? What was the last important story you told? Sharing one's own story can allow students to find a sense of belonging. Learning about the stories of others allows students to connect with each other in deep and meaningful ways. As teachers, we choose the texts our classes will study, and in doing so, create stories in our term and unit planning. This session will allow you to create a thematic unit or term plan using the guiding question, "What story do I want to tell?" and the inquiry project frame. Examples of this kind of planning and lesson delivery will be shared, and you will walk away with ideas of how to create opportunities for your students to share their own stories more effectively. This session is ideal for those wishing to create opportunities for cross-curricular learning in their classrooms, or those working with Humanities groups. Please be sure to bring your own device with you.
