Adding a session to your schedule in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in the room. Most sessions are first come, first served, there is no waitlist. On Sched you can add multiple sessions to your schedule that are at the same time. A session that is "POPULAR!" is on many attendee schedules and could be full. If a session requires pre-registration it will indicate this in the description and will provide details for how to pre-register.

Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

How heavy is that bag your carrying home each evening? How tall is that stack of papers on your dining
room table? Are you sacrificing significant time to grading only to have your feedback fully ignored? Are
you uncomfortable with the way you’re constructing and reporting grades? Are you eager to find an
approach that motivates your students and protects your personal time? I have some ideas for you.
Participants in this session will:
● Learn how to scaffold and stagger tasks in order to lighten paper load
● Plan to provide high quality feedback to writers in a timely manner, painlessly, and at just-right
times, in order to move them forward
● Adopt new approaches for assessing and drawing meaningful conclusions about student work
without sacrificing too much personal time
● Examine powerful interventions and consider when and how to apply them
● Consider how to make writers less grade dependent, even inside of traditional systems that
require grades for reporting purposes
