Assistive Technology for Learning (ATL) ranges from simple tools to complex systems used by students to actively engage in learning and to achieve their individual learning goals. In this session, an Occupational Therapist and experienced Inclusive Education teacher explore universal and specialized assistive technology tools for reading and writing, and how to support students in the classroom who use ATL. Specific topics that will be covered include: - Choosing appropriate ATL - Keyboarding for writing - Voice typing for writing - Word prediction for writing - Google extensions, apps, and add-ons - Assistive technology for reading including text-to-speech
