Adding a session to your schedule in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in the room. Most sessions are first come, first served, there is no waitlist. On Sched you can add multiple sessions to your schedule that are at the same time. A session that is "POPULAR!" is on many attendee schedules and could be full. If a session requires pre-registration it will indicate this in the description and will provide details for how to pre-register.

Are you looking for a tried and true method of teaching Science that is both practical to use in the classroom and that is grounded by research? The 5E Instructional Model has been around for almost 30 years, and so is a well-established approach to science instruction that you may not have heard of before. It's a constructivist teaching strategy grounded in research that is consistent with cognitive theories of learning. Plus, it offers a practical lesson planning structure and is a way to approach instruction in a meaningful way. This session will introduce you to the 5E model and encourage you to Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate!
