Adding a session to your schedule in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in the room. Most sessions are first come, first served, there is no waitlist. On Sched you can add multiple sessions to your schedule that are at the same time. A session that is "POPULAR!" is on many attendee schedules and could be full. If a session requires pre-registration it will indicate this in the description and will provide details for how to pre-register.

Free Footie helps 4,000 vulnerable kids in Edmonton play in a safe, inclusive and accessible environment at no cost to them or their families.Sport is not the focus, but a way for kids to make friends, have a sense of belonging and to work with great mentors.Soccer is the main game they play, but Free Footie has branched out to street hockey and basketball. It also offers "run, jump, play" sessions in physical literacy and is working to include rugby and flag football.Free Footie's success is intimately tied to the the amazing schools they have as partners.During it's peak season, Free Footie is working with approximately 60 schools from 3 different boards!Tim Adams is the founder of Free Footie and believes that schools as community hubs is the future of sport and play. His goal is to see sport flip from being evening based to becoming rooted as an after school activity with room for everyone, not just the top performers who often represent our schools. This is particularly true at the younger age groups where many parents are struggling to pay for after school care as well as sport registration fees.Tim sees a great opportunity for efficiencies to be made by using the schools as anchors for play. However, Tim believes firmly that we cannot do this by asking you, the amazing people working with our kids, to keep doing more. You need to be supported. He's advocating for a system change that not only benefits those kids from marginalized and vulnerable communities, but also busy families who are struggle to survive the daily grind of getting their kids to and from activities.Come here about Tim's plans for Free Footie and where the future of play and sport might be heading.

***Be prepared to have a little fun on the field and learn some basic games you can play with kids of all ages.***
