With over 30 years in education, I began as a classroom teacher after graduating from the University of Alberta. I worked with the Ministry of Education and served as the Executive Director of Curriculum for an educational company where I developed study tools in print and digital formats for students, teachers, and parents. Complementing my experience, I pursued Graduate Studies in Curriculum Studies and worked with assessment companies across North America. Today, I channel my expertise back to the classroom, catering to diverse learners with unique backgrounds and ambitions. As the founder of a consulting business, I foster collaboration and exchange of ideas, empowering all learners to achieve their highest potential. Authoring 15 resources on reading comprehension success, I offer professional development workshops to educators of all levels. I have pioneered the RCAT, an online tool for formative reading comprehension assessment, reporting, and student performance monitoring. This ongoing journey continues to ignite my excitement and unwavering passion.
