Dr. Joni Turville is a teacher of many grades and subjects and has worked in many roles including administrator, consultant, and university instructor. She is also author of numerous books, articles and chapters focused on research and instructional practices. Her latest publications include peer-reviewed articles on the ethics of artificial intelligence in education and what it's like to learn in synchronous online environments (specifically, Zoom). She also has co-authored an original education research methodology called "Postphenomenology in Education" which appears in a chapter of the book entitled, Postphenomenological Methodologies – New Ways In Mediating Techno-Human Relationships. She is also a Government of Canada Social Sciences Research Council of Canada doctoral scholar and was also awarded the University of Alberta’s President’s Award of Distinction in addition to several other major awards. She currently serves as one of the Alberta Teachers’ Association’s Associate Executive Secretaries/Deputy CEOs.
