Kathleen Silverman
The Alberta Teachers' Association
Association Instructor
Edmonton
Once Kathleen started school, she never left. She has taught learners aged three to ninety-four in various settings, including at K-12 schools in Edmonton and Salvador (Brazil), the Art Gallery of Alberta, and senior citizens’ centres, among others. Her expertise includes emergent literacy, language acquisition, curriculum development, and the arts. In addition to teaching in classrooms, Kathleen has worked as a resource developer for the ATA and a Curriculum Planning Coordinator at MacEwan University. When she’s not working, Kathleen can be found hanging out with her family, walking the dog, or lost in the garden.
